Product Description

Dow Froth Pak 650 Class A fire rated spray foam insulation kits are complete portable two part polyurethane spray foam systems. FROTH-PAK™ polyurethane foam is a two-component, quick cure, closed cell foam that fills cavities, cracks and expansion joints for insulation and air sealing. Air infiltration accounts for 25%-40% of a home’s energy loss, FROTH-PAK™ stops that energy loss. FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation kits can be used to insulate stud wall cavities up to 2" thick, cold floors above unheated areas, crawl spaces, attic walls, and ceilings when covered with a code-approved barrier. The kit can be restarted and reused for up to 30 days after first startup. The Froth Pak 650 kit yields up to 650 board feet of foam.

Dow Chemical has made enhancements to their industry leading formulation of FROTH-PAK™ Class A Insulation. As a direct result of these formulation enhancements, FROTH-PAK™ Class A Insulation now offers increased yield, improved adhesion and resistance to cold during transport and storage.

One board foot is shown here:

  • Part A Tank(60 pounds) - Isocyanate
  • Part B Tank(60 pounds)  - Polyol
  • GHA 15 Gun Hose Assembly kit(3 pounds) that includes:
  • 15 feet hose (or optional 30 feet hose)
  • INSTA-FLO Gun Dispenser & Hose Assembly
  • Cone Spray Anti-Crossover Nozzles (8 cone nozzles, 4 fan nozzles)
  • 1 Wrench (5/8")

Chemical curing allows 2 part polyurethane foam to be dispensed, expand, and become tack free in seconds. Foam will skin over in 30 to 40 seconds and be completely cured in under 1 minute.  Dow Froth Pak 650 is great for bigger jobs; yield is 650 board ft.(One board foot = 12"x12"x1"), 1.75 foam density.

FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation Kits (U.S. only) come with a Class-A fire rating (flame spread index of 25 or less), FROTH-PAK™ Foam Insulation can be used in a variety of applications:
• Stud wall cavities
• Rim or band joists
• Crawl space walls and ceilings

  1. Foam-Pak 620

Posted by Ged on Oct 11th 2013

Product was delivered 2 days after order was placed, exceptional. I used this to insulate a sub floor resting on a concrete base and theFoam-Pak 620 fullfilled this need. It was easy to use carfully following the instructions. I used up the entire contents in one go so cannot comment on storage and re-use. One down side is that it did no go as far as I expected. The 620 board feet (1.4 cu m)listed is theoretical in ideal lab conditions. I would like to know what the practical volume usage is.

  2. good product.

had a small problem with the left hose at the sprayer that seeped some material out. wasn't a big deal though. product sprays and covers well. make sure they are warm like the instructions explain or inconsistent coverage. warmed mine up and worked great. once applied, this product is amazing, like most any spray foam.

  3. sprays beautifully

and besides that it is easy to use--you really have to plan what your doing so you don't have to change nozzles all the time

  4. Froth-Pak 620 review

I was satisfied with how the Froth-Pak went on. I initially heated the tanks up to 80 degrees and kept them around 75. I was able to do just under 500 square feet. Most spots at an inch thick while other places thicker. I applied it in on my basement walls behind a studded wall. One thing I will do differntly next time is use the "spot" tip to apply the foam behind the studs (~3/4" space) first and then go back through and use the fan tip to fill the spaces between each stud.
