DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ Scoreboard Insulation Board 4 ft by 8 ft Sheet, 1" Thick, R value 5.0
A nonstructural, rigid board insulation manufactured of Extruded Polystyrene Foam (Previously recognized as Blue Board, due to it's color). DuPont™ Scoreboard is scored over 16" and 24" making it quicker and easier to cut to a needed width. Suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial construction applications DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ Scoreboard Insulation Board enhances energy efficiency, and reduces condensation. By covering existing wood framing, and cavity areas, it provides you a continuous insulation barrier that can increase effective R-value by up to 20%. The closed cell structure resists moisture penetration and protects underlying materials from water damage. When used in combination with construction tape and Great Stuff sealants DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ insulation board becomes an effective barrier against air leakage and infiltration.

Instructions for Use:
Fasten Boards using nails, screws or staples with large diameter heads or washers; make sure to allow 3/4" to 1" penetration into substrate. Suggested fastener spacing is 12" oc along perimeter and 16" oc within the board. DuPont™ suggests installing 4' x 8' insulation sheets vertically and 2' x 8' insulation sheets horizontally. Once Panels are fastened, seal exterior openings using Great Stuff Enerfoam and use Weathermate Construction Tape to cover seams to reduce air infiltration.

DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ Insulation is combustible: Protect from high heat sources. Local building codes may require a protective or thermal barrier.
