Application Details

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and other contaminants
Do not apply to damp or contaminated substrates
Use TREMprime® Porous or Non-Porous Primer if required after adhesion testing

Joint Design

Follow ASTM C1193 design standards
Use backer rod to regulate joint depth and prevent 3-point adhesion
Recommended depth-to-width ratio is typically 2:1 or per project specification

Application

Apply using a standard or sausage caulking gun
Tool immediately after gunning for smooth finish and strong adhesion
Do not apply under polyurethane deck coatings
Allow sufficient curing before exposing to moisture or movement

Paintability
