DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ Tongue and Groove Insulation Board (Blue Board) is a nonstructural, rigid board insulation manufactured of Extruded Polystyrene Foam (XPS). It features a tongue and groove edge on the long edges to ensure a tight fit with the adjacent board. Suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial construction applications DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ Tongue and Groove Insulation Board enhances energy efficiency, and reduces condensation. By covering existing wood framing, and cavity areas Blue Board gives you a continuous insulation barrier that can increase effective R-value by up to 20%.   Blue Board's closed cell structure resists moisture penetration and protects underlying materials from water damage. When used in combination with construction tape and Great Stuff sealants DuPont™ STYROFOAM™ insulation board becomes an effective barrier against air leakage and infiltration.

Fasten Boards using nails, screws or staples with large diameter heads or washers; make sure to allow 3/4" to 1" penetration into substrate. Suggested fastener spacing is 12" oc along perimeter and 16" oc within the board. DuPont™ suggests installing 4' x 8' insulation sheets vertically and 2' x 8' insulation sheets horizontally. Once Panels are fastened, seal exterior openings using Great Stuff Gaps & Cracks and use Weathermate Construction Tape to cover seams to reduce air infiltration.
