Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, and other contaminants
• Do not apply to damp or contaminated substrates
• Use TREMprime® Porous or Non-Porous Primer if required after adhesion testing

Joint Design

• Follow ASTM C1193 design standards
• Use backer rod to regulate joint depth and prevent 3-point adhesion
• Recommended depth-to-width ratio is typically 2:1 or per project specification

Application

• Apply using a standard or sausage caulking gun
• Tool immediately after gunning for smooth finish and strong adhesion
• Do not apply under polyurethane deck coatings
• Allow sufficient curing before exposing to moisture or movement

Paintability
