Surface Preparation

All joints and surrounding surfaces should be clean and free of loose debris, dust, oil, grease, wax, old sealants, and contaminants prior to application.

Mixing

Material must be thoroughly mixed before use to ensure proper consistency and performance.

Recommended Equipment

For best results, use a professional airless sprayer capable of a minimum of 0.70 GPM at 2,800 PSI with compatible spray tips ranging from .015–.019.

Application Conditions

• Recommended surface and air temperatures above 40°F
• Application temperature range: -20°F to 120°F
• Store material between 50°F and 77°F before use

Installation

Apply the required coating thickness to completely cover backing material and overlap adjacent substrates by a minimum of 1/2 inch in accordance with approved firestop system designs.

Cleanup

Clean spray equipment with mineral spirits immediately after use following sprayer manufacturer instructions.
