Tremco ExoAir 130 is a premium fluid-applied synthetic air and vapor barrier membrane designed to help protect commercial and residential above-grade wall assemblies from uncontrolled air movement, vapor transmission, and water intrusion. This seamless, elastomeric membrane creates a fully adhered monolithic barrier that helps improve building envelope performance, energy efficiency, and moisture protection. 

ExoAir 130 can be roller or spray applied to exterior sheathing, concrete block, poured concrete, and wood substrates, helping contractors complete installations faster compared to traditional self-adhered sheet membranes. The UV-resistant formulation allows for extended exposure during construction and supports rain screen systems with open joints.

Commonly used in commercial wall assemblies, multifamily projects, institutional buildings, and high-performance building envelopes, ExoAir 130 is engineered for demanding applications requiring long-term air sealing and vapor control performance.

Application Details

ExoAir 130 is designed for application to clean, dry, properly prepared substrates. The membrane can be applied using spray equipment or rollers depending on project requirements and jobsite conditions.

Typical Substrates:

  • Exterior gypsum sheathing

Application Thickness:

  • Apply at approximately 70 wet mils to achieve a 40 dry mil cured membrane thickness.

Dry & Cure Guidance:

  • Allow the material to fully dry before rain exposure or additional construction activity.

Limitations:

  • Do not apply to damp, contaminated, frost-covered, or frozen substrates.
  • Membrane should not remain permanently exposed.
  • Install façade or cladding within the recommended exposure period.
