Description

TREMPRO™ Chem-X Pro® is a single-component, high-strength hybrid polymer adhesive and sealant engineered for industrial, manufacturing, and construction applications. It combines instant grab strength with long-term flexibility and durability—offering a lasting bond even in harsh environmental conditions.
This non-sagging formula is solvent-free, isocyanate-free, and exhibits exceptional resistance to UV, weathering, and aging, making it an environmentally conscious choice for professionals who demand consistent performance across a variety of substrates.

Features & Benefits

  • Lasting Hold – Maintains excellent adhesion and flexibility with resistance to UV, weather, and aging.
  • Environmentally Conscious – Extremely low VOC and free of solvents and isocyanates, ensuring minimal odor and safer handling.
  • Advanced Technology – Hybrid polymer chemistry delivers both adhesive and sealant performance in one product, effective across a wide temperature range.
  • Instant Grab Strength – Reduces installation steps and labor costs by holding materials in place without additional fasteners.
  • Flexible Movement Capability – Accommodates ±25% joint movement without cracking or adhesion loss.
  • Versatile Adhesion – Primerless adhesion to most porous and non-porous substrates, including metal, wood, plastics, and foam.
  • Multi-Use Applications – Ideal for modular construction, vehicles, cargo trailers, HVAC units, marine, and below-grade waterproofing systems.
  • Low Odor, Low VOC – Safe for enclosed or occupied spaces; compliant with strict environmental standards.
  • Paintable – Compatible with most latex and oil-based paints once cured (testing recommended for dynamic joints).

Applications

TREMPRO™ Chem-X Pro® delivers multi-purpose adhesion and sealing performance for both interior and exterior environments. Its strong green strength and flexibility make it ideal for demanding structural and assembly applications, including:

  • Manufacturing of: Vehicles, semi-trailers, RVs, and cargo trailers; HVAC units, solar panels, and steel tanks; boats, railcars, and modular construction systems.
  • Building Envelope Uses: Insulation-to-air barrier connections, below-grade membranes and drainage boards, metal-to-metal and composite bonding.

Common Substrates

  • Aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel
  • Painted and powder-coated metals
  • Plastics (PVC, ABS, FRP)
  • Wood and plywood
  • Foam board insulation
  • Concrete, masonry, drywall
  • Glass and fiberglass
  • Vinyl and coated panels

Note: Always perform adhesion testing on project-specific substrates prior to large-scale use.

Application Details

  • Surface Preparation – Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust, or contaminants. Avoid alcohol or xylene-based cleaners immediately before application.
  • Application – Apply using a standard caulking gun or pressure equipment. Do not apply below 41°F (5°C) or above 95°F (35°C).
  • Tooling – Tool the bead within the skin-time window for best results. Avoid alcohol-based tooling agents.
  • Cure Time – Skins over in ~20–25 minutes; full cure depends on temperature, humidity, and joint depth.
  • Paintability – Paint after 24 hours (or 3 days for rigid paints). For dynamic joints, use flexible coatings.

Clean-Up

Before cure, clean tools and equipment with suitable solvents or scrape excess material. Once cured, removal requires mechanical abrasion or cutting.
