Description

Protect fresh concrete from rapid moisture loss with EUCOBAR, a professional-grade evaporation retardant and finishing aid designed to minimize plastic shrinkage cracking and improve finishing conditions during hot, windy, or low-humidity placements. Ideal for contractors and concrete professionals, EUCOBAR forms a temporary monomolecular film over freshly placed concrete to help retain surface moisture without affecting the performance of curing compounds or subsequent surface treatments.

Supplied as a concentrated, water-based formula, EUCOBAR is diluted 9:1 with water before application, making it an economical solution for large commercial and residential concrete projects. It is especially beneficial for concrete mixes containing silica fume, microsilica, or other low-bleed designs where maintaining surface moisture is critical.

Features & Benefits

  • Reduces Rapid Surface Moisture Loss: Forms a temporary monomolecular film that helps retain moisture on fresh concrete during finishing.
  • Helps Prevent Plastic Shrinkage Cracking: Minimizes the risk of early-age cracking caused by excessive evaporation.
  • Improves Finishing Conditions: Helps eliminate surface crusting, allowing for smoother, more consistent finishing.
  • Water-Based Formula: Fully compatible with fresh concrete and easy to dilute before application.
  • Ideal for Hot Weather Placement: Performs exceptionally well in direct sunlight, high temperatures, low humidity, and windy conditions.
  • Compatible with Modern Concrete Mixes: Suitable for silica fume, microsilica, and other low-bleed concrete designs.
  • Will Not Affect Surface Treatments: Does not interfere with the adhesion of curing compounds, sealers, or other post-treatment products.
  • Economical Concentrate: Dilutes at a 9:1 water-to-product ratio for excellent coverage and value.
  • Interior & Exterior Use: Suitable for commercial, industrial, and residential concrete applications.
