• Concrete: 21–28 days old, shot-blasted to CSP-3, <4% moisture (no primer), up to 6% with primer Sikalastic® 100 VB

Surface Preparation:

• Concrete: Fully cured, structurally sound, clean, dry, shot-blasted.
• Plywood: Smooth, contaminant-free, caulked seams reinforced with fabric.
• Metal: Prepare per SSPC/NACE standards; priming required.
• Existing Coatings: Abrade, solvent wipe, prime if needed.

Priming: Not required for concrete (<4% moisture) or dry plywood. Required for metal, damp concrete, or existing coatings (use Sikalastic® EP Primer/Sealer, Sikadur®-22 Lo-Mod FS, or Sikalastic® 100 VB).

Mixing: Use a slow-speed mechanical mixer until uniform. Avoid entraining air.

Application: Apply with notched squeegee/trowel, then backroll. Extend base coat over the entire area. Cure for at least 16 hours at 70°F / 50% RH before overcoating.

Limitations:

• Do not apply on damp, frosted, or rain-exposed surfaces.
• Not UV stable — must be top coated.
• Avoid continuous immersion or ponding water.
• Protect from rain within 8–12 hours after application.
