Surface Preparation

All substrates must be clean, dry, structurally sound, and free of contaminants, dust, laitance, curing compounds, coatings, oils, or debris that may interfere with adhesion. Concrete should be mechanically prepared to achieve an open textured profile approximately CSP 3 per ICRI guidelines.

Concrete Applications

Sikalastic®-726 Balcony One Shot may be applied directly to properly prepared concrete when moisture content is below 4%. Primer may still be used depending on project conditions or substrate requirements.

Plywood Applications

Plywood must be clean, exterior grade, properly fastened, and primed prior to application. Joints should be sealed and detailed according to manufacturer recommendations.

Mixing

Premix Part A thoroughly before gradually adding Part C aggregate. Slowly add Part B while mixing with a low-speed mechanical mixer until a uniform consistency and color are achieved. Avoid introducing excess air during mixing.

Application

Apply using a notched squeegee or trowel to achieve approximately 38 mils wet film thickness, then backroll using a phenolic core roller in two perpendicular directions for uniform coverage and texture.

Cure Time

• Tack Free: Approximately 6 hours
• Open to Pedestrian Traffic: Approximately 8 hours
