Application Details

Surface Preparation

  • Surfaces must be clean, sound, frost-free, and free from oil, grease, and loose particles.
  • Roughened surfaces improve adhesion.
  • Remove curing compounds, sealers, or coatings.
  • Use bond breaker tape or backer rod as needed.
  • Priming typically not required except in submerged conditions.

Application Instructions

  • Temperature Range: 40°F to 100°F
  • Joint Design: Width-to-depth ratio of 2:1; minimum depth ¼", maximum ½"
  • Insert nozzle to bottom of joint and apply in steady flow to avoid air entrapment.
  • Tool immediately to ensure full contact and remove excess material.
  • Paintable after full cure (7 days recommended).
  • Use opened units the same day to avoid premature curing.

Cleanup

  • Clean tools and equipment with xylene before material cures.
  • Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
