  • Door frames
  • Sheathing joints
  • Rough openings
  • Seams in vapor-permeable and impermeable WRBs

  • Exterior gypsum
  • Concrete
  • Metal
  • Polyguard air barrier membranes
  • Primed and unprimed WRBs (House Wraps)

Application Details

  • Surface Preparation: Substrates must be clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, and debris. Avoid applying over uncured or solvent-based sealants.
  • Primer: Use Polyguard 650 WB or Clearbond Liquid Adhesive if substrate adhesion is uncertain or in cold weather (below 40°F).
  • Temperature Range: Apply between 40°F and 120°F (25°F with adhesive support).

Installation Tips:

  • Always create a positive slope on sills to shed water.
  • Install WS20 across sills first, then jambs, and finish with head flashing.
  • Use hand-roller to ensure proper bond.
  • Do not apply over the bottom window flange—leave this open for drainage.
