Choosing the Right Sealant
OSI Quad Max - Silane Modified Polymers such as OSI’s Quad Max combine the benefits of silicones with the qualities of polyurethanes. These offer superior durability, outstanding flexibility, and adhere well to cellular PVC, Kynar coatings, vinyl and fiber cement along with more traditional building materials. They can be used in a wide range of temperatures and can withstand rain almost immediately. They have an ultra low VOC content, don’t shrink and are paintable in about an hour.
OSI Quad - Synthetic Resins and Polymers Such as OSI’s Quad can be applied in wet and cold weather, resist dust and dirt and are paintable once fully cured. These sealants stretch and recover easily allowing them to excel at joints that may flex and move. Synthetic Resin Sealants offer superior all weather performance and are UV and Water Resistant.
Polyurethane Sealants – Are a group of sealants that are highly flexible and offer superior abrasion resistance. Polyurethanes hold up to extreme weather and are paintable once cured. Due to their high abrasion resistance and flexibility, polyurethanes are perfect for expansion joints and high traffic areas. One caution, prolonged exposure can have lasting health effects, use of gloves and a respirator are recommended.
